The Hawker 850XP develops the 800XP formula with factory winglets and a Collins Pro Line 21 flight deck while retaining the broad cabin that made the series familiar in charter. It is a practical midsize option for regional and medium-distance missions where passengers prioritize cabin width and established executive layouts, subject to the proposed tail's payload, maintenance, installed equipment and airport performance.
Why the Hawker 850XP remains a charter consideration
Hawker Beechcraft introduced the 850XP in 2006 between the 800XP and later 900XP, adding composite winglets, updated avionics and cabin refinements to the established airframe. Production was comparatively brief through 2009, and surviving aircraft now reflect varying refurbishment and connectivity programs, so a current charter proposal should establish the actual configuration rather than rely on delivery-era standard equipment.
Variant note. The 850XP has factory composite winglets but retains TFE731-5BR-series power; it should not be presented as the later TFE731-50R-powered 900XP.

Inside the Hawker 850XP
Representative 850XP interiors seat eight passengers in five pedestal seats plus a three-place couch or a related club arrangement, with broad executive chairs, folding tables, a forward galley and an enclosed aft lavatory. The approximately 551-cubic-foot cabin is about 21 feet 4 inches long, 6 feet wide and 5 feet 9 inches high, and the principal seats benefit from a generous cross-section and natural light for work or conversation; approximately 50 cubic feet of baggage space is a planning reference, while a documented example's 110-volt outlets, cabin display and entertainment illustrate equipment that still must be checked on the offered aircraft.
- Seat configuration
- Typically 8 executive passengers, often five pedestal seats and a three-place divan
- Cabin volume
- Approximately 551 cu ft, Conklin de Decker/JETNET model-performance convention
- Cabin dimensions
- Approximately 21 ft 4 in long × Approximately 6 ft wide × Approximately 5 ft 9 in high
- Baggage capacity
- Approximately 50 cu ft
Actual wardrobe and baggage access vary with interior configuration; carrier approval is required for bulky or unusually dense items.

Hawker 850XP range, cruise speed and flight deck
The current Duncan Aviation model table separates the Hawker 850XP's approximately 2,525-nautical-mile seats-full NBAA IFR range from its approximately 2,710-nautical-mile ferry range with no passengers and lists 430 KTAS as normal cruise. Two Honeywell TFE731-5BR turbofans, factory composite winglets and Collins Pro Line 21 distinguish the model from a baseline 800XP, but the carrier must calculate the actual mission using approved tail-specific data, payload, temperatures, winds, reserves and airport constraints.
- Range reference
- Approximately 2,525 nm seats-full NBAA IFR; 2,710 nm ferry/no-passenger
- Duncan Aviation model table sourced to Conklin de Decker/JETNET; the endpoints use different payload bases.
- Cruise speed reference
- Approximately 430 KTAS normal cruise
- Duncan Aviation Hawker 850XP model-performance value; not guaranteed block speed.
- Engines and efficiency context
- Two Honeywell TFE731-5BR turbofans
- Installed engine standard, thrust setting, altitude, payload and cruise profile determine fuel burn; the model-level engine identity is not a trip fuel-consumption guarantee.
- Avionics
- Collins Aerospace Pro Line 21 integrated flight deck; later navigation approvals and upgrades vary
- Aerodynamic design
- Swept low-mounted wing with factory composite winglets and a cruciform tail
