Private jet rental cost per hour

2026 hourly rate ranges by cabin class

Compare indicative whole-aircraft ranges. They are not per-seat prices or firm quotes; most estimates use a two-hour billable minimum.

Aircraft position and mission fit affect the final quote. Reviewed 2026-08-29; effective through 2026-11-30. See the methodology and sources.

Ten indicative planning scenarios

Sample indicative private jet trip prices

Compare one-way whole-aircraft examples for ten reviewed airport pairs. These are planning ranges—not live prices or bookable offers.

Examples assume a nearby aircraft with no added positioning; ordinary fee allowances and the applicable tax path are included. Weather, aircraft position, airport limits, payload, and international charges can change the aircraft and total. Each route guide shows its scenario-specific assumptions. Browse the complete private jet route directory for additional corridors.

What a charter quote includes

Use the calculator as a budget. A written quote confirms the aircraft, carrier, total, and conditions—compare proposals line by line.
Modeled in this calculator
  • Aircraft and standard crew using the selected cabin range
  • Billable flight time, including the stated two-hour minimum
  • The positioning allowance selected by the user
  • A disclosed airport, handling, and ordinary trip-fee allowance
  • Modeled domestic FET and passenger taxes, or the international facilities tax path
Confirmed by the written quote
  • The exact aircraft, direct air carrier, availability, and mission fit
  • Actual aircraft positioning, route, stops, airports, and crew plan
  • Final tax treatment plus landing, FBO, handling, permit, and customs charges
  • Deicing, catering, Wi-Fi, ground transport, special requests, or crew overnights
  • Price validity, payment, cancellation, change, substitution, and recovery terms

FET and fee table

2026 taxes and conditional charter fees

Domestic estimates apply 7.5% FET to the modeled taxable base. International examples use a different tax path; the written quote confirms itinerary-specific treatment.

Empty leg and Jet Card economics

Choose the buying model that matches the trip

On-demand, empty legs, and Jet Cards solve different needs. Compare route, timing, flexibility, cancellation terms, and total commitment—not the lowest headline price.
Maximum itinerary control
On-demand charter

Price is built for your mission. You choose the dates, airports, passenger needs, and suitable cabin; live position and availability determine the final aircraft and total.

Estimate an on-demand trip
Opportunity pricing
Empty legs

A repositioning aircraft may be offered for a particular route and timing window. The economics can be attractive, but the schedule is less flexible and the opportunity can change if the underlying mission changes. Compare the listing-specific price—there is no universal savings percentage.

25-hour commitment
Jet Card

A Jet Card exchanges upfront commitment for a written program structure. Current 25-hour totals including 7.5% FET range from $174,687.50 for Light to $335,937.50 for Heavy. Pricing schedule reviewed August 25, 2026. The current written agreement controls funding, access, trip charges, availability, and other program terms.

How the calculator builds a planning range

The model uses the greater of reviewed block time or a two-hour minimum, adds positioning and disclosed fee allowances, then applies the relevant tax path. Totals round outward to $500. It requires no contact details and does not hold an aircraft.

Jet Partners category and quote-planning engine

First-party jet-category lower hourly anchors and the two-hour billable minimum used by current planning results; the $11,465 Heavy input is rounded to $11,500 for display.

Why the final quote can differ. Live aircraft location, exact tail and cabin, date, demand, airport constraints, payload, fuel stops, crew duty, weather, permits, services, and operator terms are not fully knowable from a planning table. The written mission-specific proposal is the firm price before booking.

Have the dates, airports, passengers, baggage, and cabin needs ready to turn a planning range into a trip-specific proposal.
