The Falcon 8X is Dassault's extended-cabin trijet for ultra-long-range charter missions, combining three distinct living areas with direct access to a large baggage compartment. It is relevant when itinerary length, passenger privacy and work-rest separation justify a larger aircraft, subject to the exact tail, configuration and direct carrier's operational review.
Why the Falcon 8X remains a charter consideration
Dassault announced the Falcon 8X in 2014 as a longer, higher-capacity development of the Falcon 7X, then began customer deliveries in 2016. The design retained the 7X's digital flight controls and trijet architecture while adding a longer cabin, PW307D engines and aerodynamic refinements to support the published 6,450-nautical-mile mission.

Inside the Falcon 8X
The finished cabin is approximately 42 feet 8 inches long, 7 feet 8 inches wide and 6 feet 2 inches high, with about 1,695 cubic feet of volume and 140 cubic feet of in-flight-accessible baggage space. Configurations can divide that length into three lounge, conference, dining, work or sleep zones and may include a forward galley, crew-rest area and shower-equipped aft lavatory, but seating, berthability, natural-light treatment, FalconCabin HD+, power and high-speed connectivity must be checked on the offered aircraft.

Falcon 8X range, cruise speed and flight deck
Dassault publishes 6,450 nautical miles at Mach 0.80 with eight passengers, three crew and NBAA IFR reserves, and a Mach 0.90 maximum operating limit. Three Pratt & Whitney Canada PW307D engines, EASy IV avionics, digital flight controls and a refined swept wing support the mission; Mach 0.80 is approximately 459 KTAS under the stated ISA conversion, not a guaranteed trip average, and weather, routing, payload and reserves shape every carrier plan.
- Range reference
- Up to 6,450 nm at Mach 0.80
- Dassault reference with 8 passengers, 3 crew, NBAA IFR reserves and stated conditions; actual route capability varies.
- Cruise speed reference
- Approximately 459 KTAS at Mach 0.80
- Mach converted using about 574 knots for the speed of sound at ISA tropopause conditions; actual TAS varies with altitude and temperature.
- Engines and efficiency context
- Three Pratt & Whitney Canada PW307D turbofans
- Installed engine standard, thrust setting, altitude, payload and cruise profile determine fuel burn; the model-level engine identity is not a trip fuel-consumption guarantee.
- Avionics
- Dassault EASy IV flight deck with available FalconEye combined vision system; installed options vary by tail
- Aerodynamic design
- Refined swept wing, trijet architecture and full digital fly-by-wire flight controls

Is the Falcon 8X right for your charter?
The 8X is most persuasive for an overnight intercontinental trip where a party wants separate spaces to meet, dine and rest while retaining access to baggage. Jet Partners can compare actual 8X and peer ultra-long-range proposals, with the direct carrier responsible for confirming crew, payload, runway analysis, stop requirements and operational control; amenities and availability are documented in the specific written offer.

Confirm these details in writing
- Aircraft, cabin layout, passenger count and baggage fit.
- Named direct air carrier and available trip-specific safety information.
- Runway, payload, weather, routing and possible technical-stop limits.
- Total price, inclusions, conditional charges and cancellation terms.
The properly licensed direct air carrier identified in the proposal retains operational control and makes the final flight-operational decisions.
