The Praetor 500 is a current-production super-midsize charter candidate for smaller parties seeking a six-foot flat floor, coast-to-coast planning range and full fly-by-wire control. It evolves the Legacy 450 platform, but a model request still requires confirmation of the exact tail, operator, cabin options and mission feasibility.
Why the Praetor 500 remains a charter consideration
Embraer unveiled the Praetor 500 and 600 in 2018 and certified both within the following year. The 500 adds fuel capacity and higher-thrust engine ratings to the Legacy 450 architecture; Embraer then announced the Praetor 500E in 2026 for deliveries planned from 2029, making future E-model cabin features a separate specification.
Variant note. Praetor 500E cabin and technology features announced in 2026 are planned for future deliveries and must not be applied to current Praetor 500 tails. Starlink availability is an install- and subscription-specific option.

Inside the Praetor 500
The standard configuration seats seven passengers and approved layouts reach nine, using berthable executive chairs, a flat aisle, tables, a forward galley or refreshment center and an enclosed aft lavatory. Praetor 500 range, cruise speed and flight deck
Embraer publishes 3,340 nautical miles with four passengers at long-range cruise and NBAA IFR reserves including a 200-nautical-mile alternate, plus 466 KTAS high-speed cruise. Twin Honeywell HTF7500E turbofans, Collins Pro Line Fusion avionics, full fly-by-wire controls, active turbulence reduction and swept winglets support the mission. The direct carrier must calculate runway, payload, winds, routing and reserves for the actual departure.
