Archived sports-travel editorial

This article originally looked ahead to May 2, 2015, when the Kentucky Derby, Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, Major League Baseball, hockey and basketball playoffs, and the NFL Draft created an unusually crowded sports calendar. It is retained as an archive, not as current event or travel guidance.
The original itinerary ideas are also historical. An empty-leg listing may be relevant only when its route, timing, aircraft, operating carrier, and written terms align with the passenger's request. A repositioning listing can change or disappear and is not a guaranteed substitute for a trip built around a fixed event schedule.
For current event travel, begin with the event dates, tickets, passenger count, baggage, ground destination, and acceptable airports. Then compare a trip-specific charter proposal with any current empty-leg listings. Do not rely on an aircraft, departure, arrival, or price until the operating carrier and written terms have been identified and confirmed.
Jet Partners acts as an air charter broker under 14 CFR Part 295, not as a direct air carrier, and does not exercise operational control. Any proposed flight is performed by the properly licensed direct air carrier identified for the trip, subject to final confirmation and any required updates.
